The Red Wings went to overtime against the Colorado Avalanche when retiring Nicklas Lidstrom’s number, then beat the New Jersey Devils the next day. They also went to overtime against the Toronto Maple Leafs when retiring Red Kelly’s number, then followed it up with a win over the Ottawa Senators.
