The only time this has happened was November 9, 2019, a 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins that followed a 4-0 loss to Florida, a 6-1 loss to Nashville, and a 5-1 loss to the New York Rangers.

At Joe Louis Arena, the Red Wings earned a 10-8 win over the Winnipeg Jets on November 25, 1987, following a 1-0 win over Washington, a 4-1 loss to Vancouver, and a 1-0 loss to Boston.

Back in Detroit’s first season, the Cougars dropped a 2-1 decision at Border Cities Arena to the Toronto St. Pats on January 4, 1927, which followed a 2-0 loss in Chicago, a 2-0 loss against the Montreal Maroons, and a 3-2 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
