Stupid Stat of the Day: The Red Wings are unbeaten all-time when playing teams whose logo is a representation of one of their team initials immediately after playing a game in Seattle.

In March of 2022, the Red Wings played in Seattle and then moved on to a win over the Philadelphia Flyers and their winged-P logo. In February of 2024, Detroit visited Seattle and then beat the Colorado Avalanche and their A-based logo.

The Wings’ other visits to Seattle were followed by games against the Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning, neither of which use an initial as a logo.
