American Thanksgiving was officially established as the fourth Thursday in November beginning in 1942. The Red Wings have played the Bruins four times on the Saturday after Thanksgiving in that time. Saturday, November 29, 2008, was a 4-1 loss. The three matchups that did not fall on November 29 were all wins.
