  • Not bad for a game at any time of the season.  I’ll take a win anytime, any way we can get it.  If it just happens to be a win in a highly entertaining, well-played game, good for everyone.

I’ll admit to not getting goosebumps from Yzerman’s goal.  I was too busy jumping up and down screaming like it was the playoffs.

Welcome back, hockey, we’ve missed you.

  • Ahh, that good old familiar clenched stomach feeling I get when Hasek starts moving around outside the crease…. where’s my Pepto Bismol? Oh well, apparently he plays better when he moves around, since he stayed put most of the preseason and looked shaky. If he needs to move around and flop like a fish, then I guess my stomach is just going to have to deal with it.

Was anyone else looking all the way down the ice expecting to see the puck after the Kings cleared it on the power play, only to discover that Ray Whitney had caught it at the blue line? What a way to save time!

And did anyone else get goosebumps when Yzerman scored?

Not bad for an October game. Not bad at all.
