Detroit has two April home losses to the Blue Jackets. April 3, 2004, was the last game of the season in a year where the Red Wings made the playoffs. April 9, 2022, was a 5-4 OTL with the Wings going on to miss the playoffs.
The Red Wings beat the Blue Jackets at home on April 7, 2006; April 3, 2007; April 3, 2008; and April 1 and April 7, 2010; all en route to playoff berths.
