On January 18 in 1986 and 1984, they lost to the red and yellow Calgary Flames. In 1953 they lost to the red, white, and blue Montreal Canadiens. In 1934 they tied the Montreal Maroons. Their only win when hosting a Canadian team on January 18 came in 1988 against the blue-wearing Toronto Maple Leafs.
