  • 7:30 left in the 3rd and the Predators are up 2-1.

And the Wings didn’t score on the 4:00 min. powerplay they had ):

Now they are shorthanded. Let’s get some offense! :o

  • The new guy, Mattias Rittola?, played well today :o Lots of sloppiness, I think that’s why they lost.

One good thing that happened today – Chris Pronger has been suspended 8 games for stomping on someone.

FINALLY! COMMON SENSE, THANK YOU PEOPLE!

  • Chris Osgood gets the start with Hasek still out. No lineup changes that I know of just yet.

The Preds are fighting for their playoff lives and coming off of a loss to LA so we’ll see if that’s got them motivated today.

I’ll be missing the game, celebrating a friend’s birthday in beautiful Kokomo, IN. :o

  • 3. I know we still have injuries, but do we need to have healthy scratches? The whole point is not to allow them any points so they cannot get into the finals.

I didn’t see the game so I won’t comment on it, but I can answer the above comment. You can only dress 20 players for an NHL game. Two goalies, 18 skaters. Usually, that’s 12 forwards (four lines of three) and six defensemen (three pairs). The Wings’ healthy scratches were defensemen and their injuries are at forward. Would you really want Chris Chelios replacing Kris Draper at center?

  • My thoughts on the game:

    1. Overall play was sloppy, I was pretty bored during the first and second periods and there was not a whole lot of action. The first goal that Ozzie gave up was garbage and he should have been all over it. Nice play by Kronner in tying things up, after that it was really boring.

    2. I know we have locked up a playoff spot but come on, we loked like we did not care. We had several good scoring opportunities, even a four minute PP and could not score? WTF!!! Everytime we made a run at the net, the Preds did a good job of pushing us to the outside.

Since we have already locked up a playoff spot why not? I’m sure Cheli would be all over the opportunity :D It would be like having Federov on defence
