drwcentral.net to Become DetroitHockey.Net

drwcentral.net will receive a new name and be moved to a new location for the upcoming NHL season. The site will be renamed and relocated to DetroitHockey.Net.

DetroitHockey.Net, or DH.N, will be almost identical to the current drwcentral.net.

While several large-scale changes are slated to be made for DH.N, none of those will occur during the transition from drwcentral.net to DetroitHockey.Net.

The name change is the fourth in the history of the site. DetroitHockey.Net was born as YzerFan19’s Detroit Red Wings Page and was later renamed DRW Central. DRW Central became drwcentral.net when the site moved to its own domain.

The change is coming because of lack of name recognition with the current name. Studies showed that casual web users did not equate drwcentral.net with the Detroit Red Wings or hockey in general.

DetroitHockey.Net assures its visitors that the change will be seamless.

Clark founded the site that would become DetroitHockey.Net in September of 1996. He continues to write for the site and executes the site's design and development, as well as that of DH.N's sibling site, FantasyHockeySim.com.
