DetroitHockey.Net Partial Hiatus

I’ve done this before from time to time, but I’m formally announcing that I’ll be taking a bit of a hiatus from DetroitHockey.Net.

I used to do this once a season or so, around this time of year, for about a week. It’s a long season, I get burned out.

This time I have no end date in mind. I need to focus on some other things for a bit. In the meantime, I’ll still be around Twitter and will try to post if something big comes up, I just probably won’t be doing pregame/postgame/recaps.

I’ll be back when I feel up to it. Thanks.

Pregame: Canadiens @ Red Wings – 2/16

Coming off a 5-4 shootout loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday the Red Wings host the Montreal Canadiens tonight. The game is Detroit’s second and final home game of the month of February.

Jimmy Howard will get the start for Detroit, his second since returning from injury. Petr Mrazek will dress as backup while Jonas Gustavsson is a healthy scratch.

The Canadiens will be without Sergei Gonchar, injured on a hit by Toronto’s David Clarkson.

Game time is 7:30 PM on FSD.
