The Red Wings look to snap their four-game losing streak tonight as they host the New York Islanders.

Johan Franzen returns from illness for Detroit and will replace Daniel Cleary in the lineup., Xavier Ouellet remains on the blue line, meaning Jakub Kindl and Brian Lashoff are healthy scratches.

Jimmy Howard gets the start in goal coming off a shutout marred by a shootout loss to Columbus on Tuesday.

Stupid stat of the day: The Red Wings are exactly .500 all-time on December 19, with a 15-15-4 record.
