Game Thread: Red Wings at Oilers – 2/4
It’s an afternoon game today as the Red Wings host the Edmonton Oilers. I’ve made my thoughts on afternoon games clear many times before so I won’t go into it again now.
With Todd Bertuzzi on the shelf, the Wings have called Joakim Andersson up from the Griffins. I wrote a bit about that last night, we’ll have to wait to see how Andersson fits in and what it means for Tomas Tatar.
Jimmy Howard is back in net for the Wings after having a night off in St. Louis on Thursday. Gotta think that means Petr Mrazek gets the nod against Los Angeles tomorrow.
Game time is 2:00 PM on FSD. I’ll be missing this one because – afternoon game – but I’ll try to check in.
