  • Homer and a slapshot from the blueline is like Shaq and free throws… Pointless! Homer and a slapper from 15 feet? Money!

  • Love the Homer slapper. I was late getting the game on, tuned in just in time for it.

  • One night after a rout of the Buffalo Sabres, the Detroit Red Wings are back at it, visiting the Dallas Stars.

The Red Wings will make some lineup changes to combat the weariness of games in consecutive nights. Mike Commodore swaps in on defense for Jakub Kindl while Jan Mursak will take Cory Emmerton’s spot on the fourth line. Ty Conklin will get the start in goal, giving Jimmy Howard a night off.

Entering the night in fifth place in the Western Conference, the Red Wings could jump to first place with a win.

Game time is 8:30 PM with TV by FSD.

Why is it… They swap the young guys because of “weariness”? I don’t think they have the issue.

  • Well sh*t… You knew that was coming with a weak ass penalty kill.

    SYfanSD January 18, 2012 1:55 AM
  • At least that wasn’t because of Conklin. Deflected in front.

    Good point.

  • Was that clean? Or a short guy on tall big guy issue?

    SYfanSD January 18, 2012 2:07 AM
  • How does that happen?

    SYfanSD January 18, 2012 2:08 AM
  • FSD taking all those pains to point out Eriksson played that with a broken stick… Playing the puck with a broken stick is a penalty.

And that brings me to my next point… You forgot the fine print… “with the exception of playing against Detroit”

  • Thoughts on the first?

    SYfanSD January 18, 2012 2:15 AM
  • Could have been better, could have been worse. Worried they’ll just get more tired from here.

    Clark Rasmussen January 18, 2012 2:24 AM
  • Why is it, i see a road game and immediately become concerned with the outcome?

    SYfanSD January 18, 2012 2:31 AM
  • I’ll take it.

    SYfanSD January 18, 2012 2:33 AM
  • Goofy bounce in Detroit’s favor. Alright.

  • Damn. Stuart is already a UFA? Where does time go?

    SYfanSD January 18, 2012 3:01 AM
  • For a team that played last night, Wings skating really well in the third.

This terrifies me. I think he wants to leave.

  • Eating crow for my Hudler hating in the other shoot out.

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 January 18, 2012 4:18 AM
  • I can’t believe Hudler pulled that move. I think he wanted to do anything but that, he kept faking and only pulled that out when Bachman didn’t bite on anything. That’s going on the site when I fix all my multimedia.
