  • The Red Wings and Wild close out their home-and-home series tonight in Detroit with the Wings looking to snap a four-game losing streak.

The Wings have made a move unprecedented in their recent history. Looking for offense, they’ve called up prospect Gustav Nyquist from the Grand Rapids Griffins to play on the second line in his NHL debut. Jiri Hudler was scratched to make room for Nyquist, with Cory Emmerton the other forward scratch.

On defense, Mike Commodore remains the healthy scratch but the pairings were switched up.

    The lines, courtesy of Khan:

    Zetterberg – Datsyuk – Holmstrom
    Nyquist – Franzen – Bertuzzi
    Cleary – Filppula – Abdelkader
    Miller – Helm – Eaves

    Lidstrom – White
    Kronwall – Kindl
    Ericsson – Stuart

    Howard
    Conklin

Game time is 7:30 PM. FSD has the TV.

I expect to be late to this one, I’ve got a 6:30 meeting I’m about to head off to.

  • Howard showing that that’s how you go to the ice if you’re a goalie.

    Clark Rasmussen November 2, 2011 1:31 AM
  • All I can say is WOW on that kill… Jimmy was huge.

    DetroitRiver November 2, 2011 1:35 AM
  • The capitals game is blacked out on both CenterIce and on Vs in D.C…

    DetroitRiver November 2, 2011 1:50 AM
  • Harding keeps coming up big. Abs needed to bury that.

    Clark Rasmussen November 2, 2011 1:51 AM

    SYfanSD November 2, 2011 1:53 AM
  • Nice play by Helm

    SYfanSD November 2, 2011 1:56 AM
  • Holmstrom not the guy you want jumping out of the box behind the D.

    Clark Rasmussen November 2, 2011 1:57 AM
  • Harding should be heading to the bench…

    SYfanSD November 2, 2011 1:57 AM

    SYfanSD November 2, 2011 2:02 AM
  • Crap calls??? Anyone???

    SYfanSD November 2, 2011 2:05 AM
  • this is one of the worst games for stupid penalties i’ve seen in a long-long time…

    DetroitRiver November 2, 2011 2:05 AM
  • Montreal fired an assistant… Can we fire a ref?

    SYfanSD November 2, 2011 2:06 AM
  • Again. No words. Harding out into the slot, draws goalie interference. At the other end, Setoguchi with his stick between Howard’s legs is no call and Koivu leaving the puck to knock down Kronwall is no call.

    Clark Rasmussen November 2, 2011 2:09 AM
  • blame the ref all you want. this game was lost in the penalty box. one non-call vs all the other stupid penalties we took tonight… Howard was really let down by his team.

  • I apparently missed a Lidstrom PPG in the first period. Good to see the big names on the board and good to see the power play get one.

I just finished dinner so I missed it too. And my CenterIce connection really sucks tonight.

  • First couple shifts of the period looked a bit ugly, that one was much better.

    Clark Rasmussen November 2, 2011 12:36 PM
