Khan has an update on Nicklas Lidstrom’s status after being hit in the face with the puck last night…

Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom has a broken nose and will miss at least the next three preseason games, coach Mike Babcock said after practice Thursday. Lidstrom was hit with a deflected puck above his right eye early in the third period of Wednesday’s exhibition opener against Montreal. He was taken to the hospital for stitches and X-rays. There was no damage to the eye.

“He’s got a broken nose, but everything (else) is fine,” Babcock said. “He didn’t come to the rink today. He’ll be back here tomorrow (for practice).”
