Lidstrom Out Three Games with Broken Nose

Khan has an update on Nicklas Lidstrom‘s status after being hit in the face with the puck last night…

Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom has a broken nose and will miss at least the next three preseason games, coach Mike Babcock said after practice Thursday. Lidstrom was hit with a deflected puck above his right eye early in the third period of Wednesday’s exhibition opener against Montreal. He was taken to the hospital for stitches and X-rays. There was no damage to the eye.

“He’s got a broken nose, but everything (else) is fine,” Babcock said. “He didn’t come to the rink today. He’ll be back here tomorrow (for practice).”
