  • We’ve got a virtual must-win for both teams tonight. Detroit needs the win or they go back home having blown a two-game lead. Nashville needs it or they’re a loss from elimination.

There have already been calls for Hasek’s head and if he doesn’t shine tonight, those will only get louder. I’m trying not to fault him for Game Three.

  • I just checked what time it starts. 9pm ET. That’s not good. 2AM for me. I will make it to the end. Hopefully.

Anyway, I don’t think it’s fair to blame Hasek on his own for what happened. Going on the defensive too early is what cost them, like what others have been saying. It’s a new game and it’s time to move on. But if they blow another two goal lead, I may actually explode.

  • No lineup changes for the Predators, meaning that Legwand stays in. Detroit is swapping out Andreas Lilja and replacing him with Brett Lebda.

    Clark Rasmussen April 16, 2008 5:57 AM
  • Darren Helm will take the pregame skate, ready to go if an unspecified Wing is unable due to injury. Figure it would be Abdelkader if the Wings were looking for grit, so this is probably a skill guy. Samuelsson or Draper.

My Internet’s been flaky across the last couple days, but I’ll try to be around for this thread throughout the game.

    Clark Rasmussen April 16, 2008 10:42 AM
  • Helm is out. Whoever was feeling hurt is good enough to go tonight.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:02 AM
  • Playing “Battle of the Heroes” from Revenge of the Sith at the Sommet Center. I’m old-fashioned, but that’s the kind of stuff you play in a pregame show, not cheesy nu-metal.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:05 AM
  • askdfjal;sdjf;lasj; AHHHHH! I HATEHATEHATE that ‘April in the D’ commercial. Yeah, it wouldn’t be bad except for the fact they play it EVERY TWO MINUTES >:|

They could at least make it more hockey-esque. Stanley in the D? :cursing: Oh yeah, has a nice ring.

I hope Lebda can do something tonight :cursing: I am excited. It’s eight past nine, and I am anxious for the face-off.

Anyone else think the sign they showed that the kids made for Valtteri looked like a chicken with a hockey stick? XD Hahahaha, it was cute :o

  • Zata with a couple good chances early, gotta keep that up.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:15 AM
  • Wheres the HD this is blury as hell on my tv. I have to wait for the NY & NJ game to get over then it switches to the wings on versus

    fitch.1918 April 17, 2008 1:17 AM
  • So it’s not just my old SD TV.

f*ck, I wish it was blurry enough to not see that.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:20 AM
  • i agree

    fitch.1918 April 17, 2008 1:21 AM
  • Mickey: “Back door for Hamhuis. And he was wide open.”

If I was Bill, I would make a joke.

    Jesus Christ, another?

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:22 AM
  • wheres osgood

    fitch.1918 April 17, 2008 1:22 AM
  • O dear.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 1:23 AM
  • Alright, f*ck it. Still early.

The problem with putting Osgood in is that you’ll never be able to go back to Hasek for the rest of the playoffs ’cause he’s a headcase.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:25 AM
  • maybe those weren’t haseks fault but these 2 goals in under a minute is killing me

    fitch.1918 April 17, 2008 1:26 AM
  • I think those aren’t fans with whistles, that’s just what it sounds like when you breathe through that big of a gap in your teeth.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:29 AM
  • ok lets get one here. whoever has that damn clapper I’d like to get ahold of it and beat them with it

    fitch.1918 April 17, 2008 1:30 AM
  • Puck bouncing all over the place.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:34 AM
  • I blame the Tigers. The Wings don’t win when they do.

Mac looks like he wants to break Smithson into tiny pieces.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:37 AM
  • at least were not senator fans get the golf clubs out

    fitch.1918 April 17, 2008 1:37 AM
  • Two awful passes by Hartigan and he lost the draw on Nashville’s second goal. Why isn’t Abdelkader playing?

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:42 AM
  • horrible tootoo did nothing wrong there?????

    fitch.1918 April 17, 2008 1:42 AM
  • Yeah, Huds. Lets just golf a little floater on net, that’ll get by.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:47 AM
  • They just don’t look up for it. I’ve seen more intensity at a WI coffee morning.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 1:53 AM
  • Of course, exactly what the Wings need is more penalties ):

I wish Dr. Fil could get a goal. ): Where’s the shooting stars & falling eyelashes when you need them!?!?!?

But then, reconsidering it, I’d wish for them the Stanley captial ‘C’ Cup. :cursing: Hahaha, memories.

Someone needs to remake the commercial. It really should be ‘Stanley in the D’

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 April 17, 2008 1:53 AM
  • I need to be distracted. I’m playing Lego Star Wars over intermission. Someone let me know when the game’s back on. This blows.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 1:56 AM
  • If the wings don’t pull their socks up and buck up their ideas, this is gonna be a long night.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 2:08 AM
  • Should someone alert Clark?

x] Hahaha, legos. :cursing: I love legos. I actually built a major lego city a few weeks ago. XD Hahaha, I was helping my friend’s little sister.

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 April 17, 2008 2:10 AM
  • No need to alert me, I’m paying attention. Though beating the hell out of stuff with a lightsabre was very thereputic.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 2:15 AM
  • I think those aren’t fans with whistles, that’s just what it sounds like when you breathe through that big of a gap in your teeth.

Haha. Its not easy going to a hockey game in Tennessee. There are no cars going around an oval.

    skyguy52 April 17, 2008 2:15 AM
  • I’m sure he’ll come back.

I had to make do with a box of random lego. I’m still gutted I never got to go to legoland.

Anything’s better than talking about the game right now.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 2:15 AM
  • If the wings don’t pull their socks up and buck up their ideas, this is gonna be a long night.

Seems to me like the WINGS aren’t working very hard tonight. Its not that Nashville is looking all that great either. Medicocre at best. Strange to say the least, that the WINGS aren’t putting a little more energy into this. Not sure what to think at this point. 1st period stats had the Preds ahead in every category, except shots, even face offs and shots on net were very close.

    skyguy52 April 17, 2008 2:19 AM
  • On the motherf*cking board! Grab your sisters and run, we’re coming for ya!

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 2:21 AM
  • Yes! Dasyuk!

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 2:21 AM
  • YAY! :cursing: Push your eyelashes back in, thanks to Datsyuk <|3 Hmmm. Noe De Vries scores. Let's hope I spelled that right XD

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 April 17, 2008 2:21 AM
  • Nevermind. f*ck it.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 2:21 AM
  • Way to go. :cursing:

    Ozzie’s in now.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 2:23 AM
  • Urgh. Could couldn’t lift it up there.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 2:25 AM
  • At times like these, I wonder how different this season would have been, had the Wings kept Mathieu Schneider. I will let you all ponder that for a moment, as I will myself x] I hope the Ducks lose.

    Osgood seems steady for now.

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 April 17, 2008 2:31 AM
  • They’d goddamned better call Nashville for every push and shove after the whistle after that call on Draper.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 2:33 AM
  • Disciprine, Draper. Discprine! What was the point?

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 2:34 AM
  • They’d goddamned better call Nashville for every push and shove after the whistle after that call on Draper.

Agreed. That was silly. ): I don’t even know what to say anymore. This game is getting ridiculous. I wonder if this is what the games the Wings win feel like to their opposing fans?

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 April 17, 2008 2:34 AM
  • Okay, I’d assumed he’d done something bad. I’m struggling to pay attention.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 2:38 AM
  • Why do they do that? I still haven’t figured it out, and I haven’t enough patience to put up with my dad to ask. =/

Why do they kick people out of the face-offs sometimes? ):

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 April 17, 2008 2:41 AM
  • Back to Star Wars…

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 2:50 AM
  • Yawn. I’m slowly losing the will to live. I don’t see the wings winning this game.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 2:53 AM
  • Well thank you Groininator, and your inability to stop non traffic slap-shots from the blue line. I wonder if Babcock’s man crush on Hasek has finally run its course. Lets all hope so, the man’s a joke who can’t even hold onto his stick.

    choyer April 17, 2008 2:54 AM

  • Now don’t concede! I mean it. Don’t.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 3:12 AM
  • Some momentum seems to be being built here.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 3:14 AM
  • The Wings are buzzing. Come on, we need another.

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 3:24 AM
  • please lord, let the wings win!

    choyer April 17, 2008 3:29 AM
  • Running out of time…

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 3:37 AM
  • Please do this! come on!

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 3:38 AM
  • Damnit. Wings had so much going and then they couldn’t even gain the zone. WTF?

    Clark Rasmussen April 17, 2008 3:42 AM
  • Miracle needed here.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 3:44 AM
  • Am I in some sort of timewarp? I swear 4 years just passed by there.

    Britishwingsfan April 17, 2008 3:46 AM

And after Hasek’s performance in game 3, the pundits are correct in asking for his head. I say the first sign of him being shakey tonight, pull-em. He has to make the stops in play-off hockey. Game 3 was almost inexcusable.

Is Lilja out tonight and Lebda in???
