Downey and Cooke are gonna go at it tonight, they were jawing at each other during the scrum when Cleary was called and Cooke nodded, seemingly in agreement with something.
OK, Kronwall Finally got a shot thru to the net (Luongo makes the save) …. so I will now go get another ginger ale.
That figures. About the time I get to the Fridge for another pop … HOMER Scores! Paybacks are nice (2).
Heh, same thing for me, I had just switched TVs when Holmstrom scored.
Wow … what a great power play opp for the WINGS … great passing … too bad — no goal! Datsyk, Lidstrom, Raffie shined on that one!
hey … who’s the blonde in the WINGS dressing room (2nd Intermission, as cammed by FSN) … hmmm. What do we have here? Or am I seeing things …… haha
I missed that, I’ve been running around during intermission. Probably locker room staff of some kind.
It was a brief cam shot …. sure appeared to be a lady though … she had a blue sweat shirt on, and was sitting on the bench, along side one of the WING players, and drinking out of a bottle of (probably) water … Co-ed dressing rooms are sure great aren’t they?
Well, that makes things a bit more difficult.
DRAPES, a minus two tonight …. probably wasn’t much DOM could do on that one either ….
CANUCKS definitely are playing with more resolve now in the 3rd, behind only by a mark. Are the WINGS getting sloppy here, or are the CANUCKS just playing harder? I hate these 3rd periods, where the WINGS have outplayed their opponents for 45 minutes or more, but the DARN score is only a goal difference!? WTF?
Couple good chances by the Wings there, need to keep those up, keep Vancouver pinned back.
Well …. just some thoughts here … but I sure do hope the home team can get control of this game back ….. or, I can definitely see this going to OT
I’m only feeling comfortable when Zetterberg, Datsyuk and Holmstrom are out there. Canucks getting too many chances.
Maltby just turned the Canucks inside out. Wow. That would have gone up on the site if he scored.
Way to hold on. That wasn’t the best third period the Wings have played. Great shot count but the Canucks always felt like they were pushing.
Nice finish by the Wings …. Only downside was the score was way too close, despite the strong effort by the Wings though out most of the game! Filpula really needed to score a goal in this game … ?!
I agree, most definitely. Great keeper for the WINGS … Haven’t seen that kind of effort the last couple of years by the WINGS to hold on to ONE GOAL leads in the THIRD ….

Why wasn’t the VANCOUVER D called for INTERFERENCE on HOMER? Looked like HOMER was shoved into LUONGO.
Other than HOMER being in the crease, He is every right to be in front of the net to screen or otherwise agitate the VANCOUVER D and Goalie without being INTERFERED with. Can someone tell why HOMER deserved the penalty?
Matty Ellis! You know why that goalie interference penalty wasn’t called on Kopecky? Because his name isn’t Tomas Holmstrom.
I’m really liking the UGLY goal Phenomenon with ELLIS.
Guess I’ll ask again ….. Does anyone have any thoughts on why HOLMSTROM is drawing seemingly idiotic penalties lately? and I already know that one answer is that the REFS are screwed up. I have to ask, it there is a justifiable reason for the calls ….. he’s gone to the box, I’m guessing, at least 5 or 6 times in the first 10 games.

If KRONWALL could just have one shot (or pass) get through without it being blocked or intercepted, I would go have myself another ginger ale …..

HASEK had no chance on that last one ….. Darn good bounce of the end boards to start it off too! That’s what is so great about this game … a bounce here and a bounce there … a skate there and an elbow here …. COOLEST GAME ON ICE!
DOM is on his game tonight … that last CANUCK shot … 3 on 2 also …. would have evened this contest!
Can’t say enough about CHELIOS’ play tonight …. great blocked shot …. on the VANCOUVER power play …. CHELLI is amazing at 46!
