  • We need to make up for a bad road trip! Canucks are going down!

    SYfanSD November 20, 2006 11:32 AM
  • Yeah, earn that new scoreboard

    Slapstick November 21, 2006 3:49 AM
  • Yeah, earn that new scoreboard

    What scoreboard?

    SYfanSD November 21, 2006 3:59 AM
  • The game against the Canucks will be the first at the Joe since new video monitors were installed in the scoreboard there. Same scoreboard, new screens. They’ve talked about it on FSN Detroit, kinda cool stuff.

You can tell it’s a stopgap measure, though, they would have replaced the whole thing if they thought they’d be in the Joe for much longer, the scoreboard is definitely dated.

IIRC, the screens at the top of each corner of the arena are the ones that were in the scoreboard before the ones that were just replaced.

  • Wow! Look at what I miss by being here in CA. I’m going to have to get ch 636 on Direct TV. So how much longer do you think we will be in the Joe?

    SYfanSD November 21, 2006 9:21 AM
  • Hopefully the first NHL game jitters are out of him!

    SYfanSD November 22, 2006 1:59 AM
  • DO you think he will play again?

    Redwings91 November 22, 2006 2:27 AM
  • I would say yes, with Ozzie out for 2-6 weeks and the Groininator has to have so many days of rest otherwise he becomes a liability.

    SYfanSD November 22, 2006 3:04 AM
  • Waht did ozzie do?

    Redwings91 November 22, 2006 4:46 AM
  • Clark Rasmussen November 22, 2006 7:55 AM
  • how did he do that

    Redwings91 November 22, 2006 9:37 AM
  • He got hit during practice

    SYfanSD November 22, 2006 11:07 AM
  • ouch

    Redwings91 November 22, 2006 11:39 AM
  • It does suck

Who is backing up Macdonald when he plays? Liv or Howard?

    SYfanSD November 22, 2006 11:57 AM
  • I couldnt beleve that the red wings lost to the oilers. I thought that Joey Macdonald had an amazing game.

    Redwings91 November 22, 2006 12:01 PM
  • Did we come from the bar before the game? A goal in 18 seconds and we are looking very lazy and tired.

    SCHNEIDER!!!!!!!

Oh wait play is under review… Let’s see if the refs get it right

Holy Crap (Sorry Clark) Goal stands… tie game

Who planted that Swedish redwood in front of Luongo?

    ZETTERBERG!!!!!!

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 1:04 AM
  • Crap,

Now Dom is slow to get up and Franzen gets rocked. Nice to see Cheli back to his old days of stirring things up.

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 1:14 AM
  • This is why we need an enforcer, twice this year someone has been laid out. We need another Kocur! :notworthy:

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 1:29 AM
  • Enforcers don’t have a place in the “new NHL”, not worth the roster spot. I’d rather the power play get running, people aren’t going to fight you if they know giving you a power play will cost the team a goal.

    Clark Rasmussen November 23, 2006 1:31 AM
  • I hear what you are saying, but we need somebody that other teams fear a little bit. Somebody that will provide a little deterrence that’s all. We had some of that with Shanny.

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 1:34 AM
  • What a save by Hasek :notworthy:

And he lost his stick, no surprise there

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 1:50 AM
  • Wings got hosed on the no-goal but you can’t stop Dan Cleary. :notworthy:

And I agree that it’d be nice to have Shanny or a Shanny-like player back.

    Clark Rasmussen November 23, 2006 2:12 AM
  • Sounds like Datsyuk won’t be back next year.

Crap now we have two in the box

Can you have a stranger goal? First the crap calls and then Dom flat out falls down! What the hell :notworthy:

Canucks are playing dirty tonight, lots of cheap shots

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 2:48 AM
  • I understand one crap call as an evener for the earlier Vancouver penalty, but since when do two crap calls to put a team down two men for almost two full minutes even out one crap call that puts a team down one man.

    Clark Rasmussen November 23, 2006 2:49 AM
  • Holy Crap that is a lot of crap… :D

Got lucky there with that wide open net :notworthy:

Look at Cheli go coast to coast

Another missed call on Datsyuk getting dumped! The refs should be fired

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 3:04 AM
  • You have got to be kidding me. Datsyuk gets hauled down, no call. Before that, you’ve got a Canuck all over a Red Wing. After that you’ve got Zetterberg getting hit in the face with no call.

    :notworthy:

    Clark Rasmussen November 23, 2006 3:06 AM
  • And we go to overtime…

    The refs need glasses :notworthy:

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 3:08 AM
  • 3-on-3 might have been the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.

    Clark Rasmussen November 23, 2006 3:10 AM
  • I think that it is safe to say that this game was decided by the refs

    Damn crossbar! :notworthy:

Well that really sucked ass… Caught in a fricken line change!

    SYfanSD November 23, 2006 3:11 AM
  • I think that it is safe to say that this game was decided by the refs

As much as I want to agree with that, I can’t. Yeah, Vancouver got the benefit of all the luck and were handed the opportunities, but the Wings could have stopped them.

    *throws hands in the air*

Whatever. One game, I’m too tired to be p*ssed off about this.

    Clark Rasmussen November 23, 2006 3:14 AM
  • This is why we need an enforcer, twice this year someone has been laid out. We need another Kocur! :notworthy:

Darren Pang agrees with ya…On the TSN intermission of the Chicago/Calgary game, Pang was just saying that the Wings needed someone to put Mitchell in his place after that hit.

But then he went on to back Clark’s new NHL comment by saying Wing’s brass prefers Hudler’s shootout skills to Norton’s inability to skate, but willingness to fight anyone.

I miss the days of the enforcers.
