Detroit’s first game against the Lightning of the 2004 season was at home on March 8, 2004, which was after their first game against the Panthers on December 15, 2003. It was a 1-1 tie. In the 2010 season, the Red Wings first played the Lightning in a home game on December 17, 2009, after having played the Panthers on November 20, 2009. That game was a 3-0 win for Detroit.
