Being one of the many Comcast customers in Michigan, I wasn't able to see today's game as it happened. For seemingly no reason, Comcast decided to air infomercials on the channels that had previously been (and still are) advertised as belonging to FSN+, which the game was broadcast on.
I was going to watch the replay on standard FSN Detroit, but I've already had one extra-late game this week so I'll let the DVR get this one and catch the highlights in the morning.
I'm interested in seeing if a reason for this "outage" is ever made available. I didn't call Comcast because I know the CSRs have no idea what's going on and I didn't want to have to fight the urge to yell at someone and take it out on them.
What I expect to see is Comcast blaming FSN and FSN blaming Comcast. The way I see it, there are three things that could be what went wrong.
#1 - FSN+ was actually supposed to be another station.
#2 - FSN somehow didn't transmit the feed to Comcast properly or Comcast couldn't get the feed in some way.
#3 - Comcast didn't prepare properly in general.
I'm leaning towards the last one. If it was the first one, the game would have shown up somewhere on my digital guide and if it was the second one it would have been dead air rather than an infomercial. We'll see if we ever find out.
Even with the lost game, I'm having trouble calling today a bad day. Bruce MacLeod is running with my suggestion of "Tsar of Takeaways" as a nickname for Pavel Datsyuk and since I'm usually not all that quoteable, that's cool for me. And that missed game was a win, which is also a good thing.

I have no news (like usual) but I thought I'd post the topic because I was wondering if the game is on another channel besides FSN+. Because I really don't want to watch/listen to it online ):

FSN+ is the only channel it's on locally, and good luck determining what channel it is for you. The game isn't listed on my cable guide at all, on any of the channels it could be on.
As for game notes...
Draper is back in the lineup but Drake is out with a chest injury. McCarty, Cleary, and Holmstrom all practiced this morning. Cleary, Drake and Filppula could all return on Tuesday.
Hasek gets the start.
Jared Boll seems to be out for Columbus.

I just went and checked, so if any of you get FSN Ohio the game will be played there... I haven't watched an NHL game on that channel before, the experience will be fun!
Come to think of it, the first time I saw Darren Helm play was on FSNO. Memories...

This is probably the 6th or 7th time I've gone to watch a Jackets game and it's not on FSNO even though it says it is.
The tennis tournament is being shown right now ): I don't want to sit at my computer listening, our computer chair is crappy D:
Hope you people had more luck finding the game then I did, and if you did, leave me a nice recap to come back to!

The Internets are besploding as FSN+ for Comcast is supposed to be 900 or 901 but they're showing a makeup infomercial right now. I'm glad I'm not the only one screwed but it p*sses me off to no end.

Aparently the Wings are up 1-0 already. I wouldn't know how, but I'm getting very tempted to buy an airbrush makeup system. f*cking FSN+.

it came off a 5 on 3 powerplay. nice pass from datsuyik, with lidstrom scoring from the point on a empty net..
zetterberg made it 2-0 right now

wings look great.. columbus still not with a shot on goal 10 minutes in. Wings are skating and passing better than i've seen in quite a few games.

:D:D:D:D:D I don't understand how, but....FSN+ seems to be my local sports channel! I doubt you Michiganers have it, but it's BCSN. I gave up hope when they were still showing the tennis games, and started flipping channels, and there it was! On a channel I never expected it to see it on!
Sadly, I missed both goals, but they both came on the powerplay, the first from Lidstrom, the second from Zetterberg, who has an all-time high of 40, I think they said. There were two stupid calls on Nash & Kopecky that didn't get scored on, and Hasek is looking solid. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT!

Mickey Redmond calls having another game against Columbus "A geographic marvel" XD He was not aware of having another game versus the now very familiar team.
They just killed off some penalty Chelios had. Considering the comments on the penalties called today, I wonder if it was a good call or not. (I have been practicing, so i only have heard what of what they've been saying)

WTF? D: They've had some bad calls but someone tripped Draper so obviously a blind man could've seen it! I can't believe that went uncalled. And people say the NHL has some of the best officiating, please.
Oh well, my anger is somewhat subsided, as a nice play from Chelios to Franzen gets a goal Go Mule! Maybe the refs should all get a little familiar with karma.

Babcock gets his 3rd season of 50 wins with a final score of 4-1 on Nash's lone goal. They never did replay it, but from what my mom said, it looked like Hasek never saw it.

Nash took a quick shot from right outside the slot. Hasek was screened by lidstrøm. Good shot by Nash.
