  • Checking in from off Nassau in the Bahamas. I didn’t see Thursday’s mess in San Jose and I won’t see this one, and I’m kicking this thread off now in case I don’t get another chance before the game starts.

It looks like the Red Wings are going with the same lineup as they used against the Sharks. That means Brendan Smith remains in, Mike Commodore remains out, and Fabian Brunnstrom is the healthy scratch up front. Todd Bertuzzi could return to the lineup after practicing with the team for the third consecutive day but will be a gametime decision. Jimmy Howard gets the start.

If I’m wrong about that, sorry, I’m paying $0.65 a minute just to be online right now.

Game time is 4:00 PM. TV is FSD.

  • Well, the Kings scored a short handed goal, but Datsyuk just scored almost right after. So there’s a plus, he’s now off his streak.

  • 2-1 Wings now. They just gave Kopitar a penalty shot but Howard had a great save.

  • Not a bad game overall. It was nice to see the Wings get their act together after the debacle on the short handed goal.
