Wings Place Brunnstrom on Waivers

The Detroit Red Wings have placed forward Fabian Brunnstrom on waivers, per a tweet from TSN’s Bob McKenzie.

The Swedish forward signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Red Wings after a successful training camp tryout but has appeared in only one of Detroit’s first eight games.

If he clears waivers, Brunnstrom will be eligible to be sent down to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins.
