Red Wings – Blues Postgame Thoughts

Who needs good defense when you’ve got such a high-powered offense?

Oh, yeah, that’s right. You still have to outscore the other team.

What we had here was another game where the Red Wings had defensive lapses where someone didn’t cover their guy and it led to goals. It’s like the team has forgotten how to play their own brand of hockey.

I don’t fault Ty Conklin (aside from on the goal where he went wandering), just as I don’t fault Chris Osgood (mostly).

I still believe in the magical switch the Wings can flip to be better for the playoffs but this is frustrating as hell to watch right now.
