The goal during the stupid Chelios penalty is what got the ‘Hawks going. Ugh.
Babcock is smart to ‘assemble the big line’ as the wonderful commentators just said. Hopefully that won’t have to happen all the time in the playoffs, though.
So, the real pronunciation of Toews is ‘Taves’? I honestly thought it was ‘Toes’. x] Hahaha.

A hooking penalty to Hartigan gives Chicago another powerplay goal. Wow.

Hahaha, I just lost my train of thought. The Ryan Getzlaf commercial made me sick to my stomach but made me laugh hysterically at the same time.

Ken Daniels is one naive bastard to not agree with Redmond’s disagreement of the officiating, its a joke. He thinks the Wings are unstoppable when its clear that the hawks and preds could take them out. Lets hope these two teams dont make it because I smell another first round exit if the wings can’t gain a sense of urgency or motivation. Top to bottom in the NHL, the teams are loaded with so much talent its amazing. None of these teams are pushovers, even if its 1st seed vs. 8th seed. I don’t think Daniels ever disagrees with Redmond, just in the play-by-play role he’s not supposed to be as opinionated. He agreed that the call on Hudler was crap but tempered that by saying that Hudler never should have gotten his stick up off the ice in the first place.
This happens every time there’s a “crackdown” on some part of the game. The problem is that the crackdown ends before player behavior actually changes (because no one is willing to have a full season of weak-ass hooking calls every 90 seconds) so instead you just have weak calls every now and then.
The Wings can clinch the President’s Trophy with a point tonight but they’ll be doing it without Kris Draper, who’s out for the rest of the regular season. Tomas Holmstrom won’t be returning, either. This puts Darren McCarty back in the lineup.
