Have to ask Clark about whether his team by team record against stats are accurate, but according to his page here, the Wings hold a slight edge at 333 wins 331 losses and 93 ties against the Leafs for all-time.

They’re right if my scores are all right. FSN said that only two games separate the teams so whether the numbers are right or not, the margin is.

    Clark Rasmussen February 9, 2008 8:22 AM
  • Ugh, what a bounce. Hasek got caught cheating a little, too.

    Clark Rasmussen February 9, 2008 8:25 AM
  • Hm. Lots of offense by the Leafs! :o I hope this game doesn’t go downhill like the last one, but I guess you can’t always win as everyone is saying lately.

    Who scored the goal? :D

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 February 9, 2008 8:25 AM
  • Who scored the goal? :o

    Darcy Tucker.

Is it just me or is the ACC really quiet. Sounds like we can hear the on-ice sounds better than usual.

    I agree.

They are taking shots on the powerplay for once :o

I hope Cleary’s ok. It would suck to lose him for a bit.

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 February 9, 2008 8:33 AM
  • Yawn.

Wings are getting better but definitely not the most exciting game.

    I hate afternoon games.

x] Agreed. Unless I am at them :o (stating the obvious)

It’s hard to keep my attention on the game Dx

    As I type that…..:D WOO! Lidstrom’s, right?

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 February 9, 2008 9:31 AM
  • Very nice. Yeah, it goes to Lidstrom. I was surprised that went in.

Taken to a Toronto Hospital for x-rays to the jaw. :o

I agree. Neither team seems to be playing with a lot of OOMMPPFFFF …

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 9:43 AM
  • I am enjoying the between period commentary about the rivalry and various players of old.

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 9:49 AM
  • Even if Mickey York’s narration on that Sittler bit was awful.

This is the stuff the NHL needs to remember. Try so hard to create rivalries at the expense of such amazing ones that already existed.

    Clark Rasmussen February 9, 2008 9:52 AM
  • Ah, this is so lame. Dx This is taking forever. I thought it had been like 10 minutes and I look up to see it’s only been 3 ._.

This is probably the slowest game I have watched.

At least the Filppula-Samuelsson-and whoever the third person is are doing some nice plays.

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 February 9, 2008 9:58 AM
  • Gah! Everyone knows Draper can’t finish!

    Clark Rasmussen February 9, 2008 10:00 AM
  • Geez. Draper ALL ALONE in front of TOSKILA and gets robbed.

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:00 AM
  • Gah! Everyone knows Draper can’t finish!

Drapes has been known to miss the broad side of a barn …..

On that last one though …. how could he miss? lol :o

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:02 AM
  • By the speed / energy level of this game, I gotta wonder if the boys got together last night for a few cocktails in Toronto.

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:04 AM
  • Toskala never seems out of position this afternoon.

    Just robbed Homer.

XD Couldn’t have put it in better words. x]

Maybe it’s so quiet there because everyone is sleeping.

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 February 9, 2008 10:09 AM
  • I feel like I could be asleep right now.

    And then it’s 2-1! Woohoo!

    Clark Rasmussen February 9, 2008 10:11 AM
  • Lucky deflection on Lidstrom’s shot to the net.

Ugly goal, but I’ll take it ..lol :o

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:12 AM
  • XD Again, I agree with both of you! :o

That line has worked hard tonight, from the slowness of this game at least. I think they deserved it.

Goal judges may have a difficult time staying awake ………

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:13 AM
  • It should be an exciting finish, so maybe that’ll keep everyone awake.

    Clark Rasmussen February 9, 2008 10:15 AM

Agreed. Its impossible for me to believe the WINGS could lose this one, given the games pace, and how ineffective the Maple Leafs seem to be playing.

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:15 AM
  • Goddamnit Dom!

    Clark Rasmussen February 9, 2008 10:17 AM
  • Gawd, I should NOT have posted my previous comment! Now, I’ll probably live to regret having said …….. :o

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:17 AM

I had to quote this again because I was just thinking, if they’re drunk and hungover now, how bad will it be against the Ducks? Let’s hope they don’t get pummeled.

Darn. It’s tied again. And now the crowd is showing some love.

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 February 9, 2008 10:17 AM
  • Goddamnit Dom!

Gotta wonder if DOM fell asleep before that Toronto possession, rush and GOAL!

He was awake, just didn’t get those friggin’ pads closed.

  • Jeepers. Bring out the SMELLING SALTS~~~~~~ pump some life into the WINGS.

I’m going to be P1SSED if this ends up in a shoot-out and we end up on the short end of the stick.

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:21 AM
  • I’ll be p*ssed if this goes to a shootout ’cause I need to leave for a company party in 20 minutes. No recap tonight.

Edit: Though I’d prefer a shootout win than any other kind of loss.

    Clark Rasmussen February 9, 2008 10:24 AM
  • I will be either ways because IT’S GONE ON LONG ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!

XD Smelling salts would do nicely. Maybe a large air horn. Get whapped with a stick? The world will never know.

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 February 9, 2008 10:27 AM
  • #80 Toronto Andropov is a GIANT! Anyone see how big that guy is!

Here we go to OT. Smelling Salts anyone? haha

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:28 AM
  • Gawd… what was DOM doing? Looking for his pillow?

and it was ANDROPOV …. the GIANT

    skyguy52 February 9, 2008 10:31 AM
  • I sit down just in time to see the Leafs score. :o

    How pleasant.

I’ll go email them a question to answer on tv and ask them what smell they would prefer.

edit;; How far into the overtime was it?

    Mathieu_Datsyuk132351 February 9, 2008 10:31 AM
  • Ugh. No comment. See you guys tomorrow.

Don’t have an exact time — but it was less than 3 minutes.

Have fun! :o Spread the word about how useful smelling salts are!

Less than three minutes? I thought it was less than one minute XD I must’ve been downstairs longer than I thought.

(The slowness of the game messed up my time schedule)
