  • Bad luck on the Kings goal, another bad bounce off a defenseman. Not in the net this time, but right to Brown.

  • The only comment I have about the game is that Homer finally got a break. After all of his interference calls it was nice to see him finally get away with one.

  • If I were a Kings fan, I’d be p*ssed about the play not being blown dead on Holmstrom’s goal. But I’m not, so I won’t complain.

  • Random fact: On today’s date in 1917 the first-ever NHL games were played. Final scores: Montreal Canadiens 7 @ Ottawa Senators 4, Toronto Arenas 9 @ Montreal Wanderers 10.

  • Aside from the hiccup that let the Kings catch up, the Wings really dismantled Los Angeles tonight. To be expected when first plays worst but it’s the kind of game that can catch the Wings.

  • Was only able to watch bits and pieces of the game, but based on what I did see it was clear the WINGS dominated the KINGS offensively and defensively. Probably the most sound thumping I’ve seen this season.

It was nice to see KRONWALL rewarded with 4 assists.

The KINGS 2nd goal did cause me a little concern about DOM’s net minding abilities. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on this one. I’m sure DOM would like to have that goal back. I just hope its not indicative of a problem on DOM’s glove side.

  • Kris Draper returns to the Detroit lineup tonight. Aaron Downey will sit to make room. Kirk Maltby is still out.

Hasek gets the start against Jason Labarbara for LA.

  • Well that was fast. Excellent shot by Zata and a really good hold by Lidstrom to make it possible.
