  • My cable company decided that it was okay to replace FSD programming with generic Fox Sports stuff so I didn’t see the game.  Can anyone give me a run-down on the first Kings goal that I hear was a bad call?

  • Your cable company must be truly evil!

It wasn’t really a bad call, just a bad break. The puck hit the stanchion and bounced right back to the guy’s stick, and he just happened to be right in front of CuJo at the time. It all happened extremely fast. I had to watch the replay to see how it really happened.

You want bad calls, look to the inconsistency of the “crackdown” on obstruction. The Wings should have been four-on-four for most of the last part of the game. The calls on Igor and Sergei were valid (even though Sergei’s looked like a total accident), but the Kings were getting away with some pretty blatant hooks and holds, especially on Shanny and Hull. So much for the crackdown. Hopefully the League office will review this game and give the refs hell for not making the calls they should have, but I’m not holding my breath.
