DetroitHockey.Net has reached a point where continued growth comes at a financial cost. I don't exactly have a problem bearing that burden but in order to do that a little more easily I've added advertisements to the site. I don't like having to do that but it's a better option than asking for hand-outs.
Personally, I've never come across any Google Ads that were so offensive that I needed them off my screen, which is why I trust them to serve up unobtrustive ads that may even be relevant to you, the site's visitors. The next auto-playing ad or fake download button I hear of on DH.N will be the first.
I don't accept advertisements that pretend to be content. I'm not trying to trick anyone into clicking a link.
I'm not going to get rich off of this site, I just want to defer my costs a bit. I try to keep the ads safe and relevant. What I'm asking in return is that the ads on DH.N not be blocked.
If you're blocking ads on DetroitHockey.Net, please consider making an exception for the site. Most ad-block apps have the ability to be disabled on a given site. If you like the content on DH.N, allow ads here to help make it easier to produce more content. If you don't like the content here, don't worry about unblocking, you won't be back anyway. There's no loss in allowing ads here.
If you want to help support the site but can't bring yourself to stop blocking ads, take a look through the selection of DetroitHockey.Net merchandise in our various online shops to see if anything interests you. We make a small profit on each item and this way you would get something in return.
